Stainless Steel 317L Tubing is a low-carbon, molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel alloy with the chemical composition of 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. The reduced carbon enhances the weldability and minimizes intergranular corrosion risk, particularly following welding. It provides superior resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion in chloride-containing environments. The tubing offers tensile strength of 515–760 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, while also possessing good formability and high-temperature strength for widespread corrosive conditions of service.
